Teresa Carvalho Costa (POR)


Teresa Carvalho Costa, BA and Master´s degree in Anthropology (ISCTE, University of Lisbon) is a research fellow in the research project HERILIGION (European Union HERA 15.033). She has conducted field research mainly in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area with migrants from Guinea-Bissau on issues of social exclusion and religious practices. Her interest in cinema and visual anthropology, has led her to participate in different documentary projects as an assistant director in Tile Mail, Gergő Somogyvári (Jury Price Film. Dok 2008, Romania); as a research and production assistant in Sousa Martins, Justine Lemahiou; and more recently as a sound technician and co-director in A Ramadan in Lisbon, a collective film from the Audiovisual Lab of CRIA-FCSH.
